Wow

Pretty Lady and Dano struck gold yesterday evening. They highly, highly recommend that you all visit Edmar Castaneda's website and listen, although the experience will necessarily be dimmer and less all-enthralling than sitting in the back room at Barb├ęs and hearing him play a live WFUV broadcast. He does not precisely play; he dances, joyfully, with his Columbian harp. Pretty Lady has never seen a roomful of slightly intoxicated alternative-radio fans hunker down in quite such a hypnotized fashion.

UPDATE: OOP! It was WFMU radio. Where Pretty Lady came up with WFUV, she doesn't know...hmph...

Oooh...pretty lady , pretty lady, and let's not forget the "forro" music (Brazilian) played by Rob Corto (on accordian), and his ever shifting ensemble.....a cross between brazilian, cajean, and some loose other strands of music. WOw....http://www.forroforall.com
Sometimes you walk away from something and know life gave you a good dose of something rich and good for you.
Put together by Rob Weisberg and Irene Trudl of WMFU.org. These two perform a lot of musical magic weekly.

Hoping he can fit a Chicago gig in this summer. Nice stuff, thanks!
(BTW- how can you hear this and NOT dance? Did the crowd? Did you?)

Pretty Lady vibrated energetically in her chair; she didn't want to risk stomping on someone's hand and ruining the broadcast. Plus watching his hands was so engrossing.

Okay, so my blogger ID has somehow reverted to my Gmail ID? Who knows, I'll make Trey figure it out tomorrow.
