It's incredible. Lovely, lovely.

How beautiful.

Yes, and it only lasted for about six hours. I spent all evening photographing it, staring at it, smelling it and petting it; when I got up this morning, it was gone.

Stunning. Lucky that you could take a little minute to watch it!

Isn't it a miracle, something akin to love, to know that one waits a whole year for the magic of a bloom that lasts a few moments and then is gone. To me that is one of the greatest affirmations of our lives.
Congratulations

A lot of beauty is fleeting, isn't it? I tried to post a comment soon after you posted this, but blogger wasn't behaving.

Your pictures are beautiful, an artists eye behind the lens makes a lot of difference in capturing just how wonderful that bloom was, for just that small amount of time.

Nancy, that's exactly what I thought when I saw that pic. How she sees things, differently than you and I do, and perhaps does it instantly.

You had that miracle happen in your actual living space?

I may have to re-think my attitude on houseplants.

Stunning!!!!
