Ask, and ye shall receive.

Here. Here they are. Gasp, choke, sob.

PRINTS. Your choice of paper, mat, frame, all duly overpriced. You COULD have an Original, THE original, yes, but here--HERE--are Prints. For what they are worth.

The horror.

(Greeting cards, too.)

UPDATE: Due to Private Feedback, prices have been adjusted. Desert Cat, you are a very lucky Early Adopter.

Is this one of those purist things?

No, not overpriced at all. Extremely reasonably priced--dare I say underpriced? (Shh! You didn't hear me say that! Not until I'm done shopping anyway.)

Thistle looks really good like that, framed and as a tiny JPEG.

O.M.G. This is fantastic. Thistle does look great. So does Meditation. If you could get a set of cards together, maybe 4 images, three of each, with envelopes, in a nice box . . . But the marketing is a whole 'nother issue. I'm seeing them in Museum shops, upscale new agey gift shops (like the kind of expensive yoga studios where they have yoga-wear shops), book covers in the self-help/spiritual section . . . Get these babies out there!

O, maybe your new business is as a marketer of fine art novelty items to boutique shops, or perhaps owner of your own boutique shop. The Herculean storm of energy which allowed me to set this one up is not likely to last when dealing with packaging and distribution issues. ;-)

Well, I wouldn't mind being the R&D or idea person, as long as I have someone else to implement the ideas.

"With Custom Framing you can choose from over 5.5MM combinations of mats and frames to create your own unique vision."

How many is 5.5MM? It sounds like too many to choose from.

AIIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHH!

Everybody wants to be the Idea Person. Nobody wants to do the Actual Work. I am declaring a moratorium on listening to people's Brilliant Ideas; that goes double for Chris. All of you, go dig some ditches.

And yes, the choice of frames, mats and print surfaces is entirely overwhelming. They wanted me to choose a 'default' and it was not only impossible, but downright terrifying.

Aw, hey, I just toss out ideas for fun. No one's supposed to take me seriously.

Thank you very much for setting this up. Now we just need to have an option to get it signed...

Chris Rywalt said...

I believe that option is called "Mail the thing to Pretty Lady and have her sign it and mail it back to you."

Now that I've browsed the site a bit, I see that some artists are charging what appears to be a 700% markup for a digital print.

No wonder I'm so poor...

Desert Cat said...

You will give us advance notice if you intend to adjust your prices, I pray?

I've ordered what I can afford this week. Perhaps I should order smaller prints of additional ones I am interested in...

I suppose that having come across PL on the internet it still seems a bit different to have her name out there and then to think that would be matched by any type of address... used to more anonymity than that. And I of course would not presume to ask. Also, and this might be odd, I would wonder how she would sign it and how I would want it signed... she commented in a prior post how PL is an aspect of her personality, but that is the aspect I have encountered and based my thoughts on. Almost feel that I would want it signed by PL... of course the artwork is probably from the other aspect... argh... further down my own rabbit hole here...

Congratulations, dear Pretty Lady. That was a lot of work, and they look fierce good! May you sell reams and reams of them, and may that lead to immense popularity followed by intense demand for the originals.

:)

Argh! I would have ordered more if you'd warned me ahead of time!
